  • Columbia oceanographer and paleoclimatologist Peter de Menocal '91, '92GSAS was appointed Dean of Science in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. He was also named as Thomas Alva Edison/Con Edison Professor, a newly established chair funded by Con Edison.
