A Win-Win Situation

It's what we call a win-win situation.

Each year, the Columbia Alumni Association (CAA) helps bring together thousands of alumni across all schools to Columbia sporting events throughout the year, a natural way to connect back to Columbia University.

On Saturday, October 17, the Columbia Lions played their Homecoming football game, sponsored for the second year in a row by Turismo Chile.  (You may remember Turismo Chile from earlier this year when lucky alumna Kacy Krisman, ’07CC, ’10SCE, won an all-inclusive trip to Chile, during the basketball game between Cornell and Columbia in January at Levien Gymnasium.)

In addition to cheering on the football team, now led by Al Bagnoli, the all-time winningest head coach in NCAA Football Championship Subdivision history, alumni (and future alumni!) of all ages joined the day’s family-friendly festivities which included an outdoor picnic, a mini-carnival, and even a fencing clinic with the 2015 NCAA Championship Fencing Team.

The partnership between the CAA and Columbia Athletics spans over a decade and is a critical relationship that continues to unite Columbians to share in the pride of all their accomplishments - both on and off the field.  For a schedule of upcoming games and to keep up with the latest on your favorite teams, visit www.gocolumbialions.com.

...And the next time you’re at a game cheering on those Columbia Lions, introduce yourself to a fellow alum in the bleachers and remember that you’re cheering along with an alumni network of over 320,000 strong.
