Crystal Hana Kim '09CC, '14SOA won the 2017 PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers. PEN honors 12 emerging writers each year who published a debut work of short fiction in a magazine or website during the previous year.

Neil Gorsuch '88CC, who has been serving as a judge in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit, was confirmed Friday to the Supreme Court of the United States. Gorsuch joins nine Columbia alumni who have served on the nation's highest court. Read more about Gorsuch from Columbia College.
